The Zaragoza Municipal Shelter has received this morning a generous donation of clothing and footwear from the local businesses Running Zaragoza and Deportes Zenit for the hundred homeless people who remain confined to this facility. The Minister of Economy, Innovation and Employment, Carmen Herrarte, and the Minister of Social Action and Family, Ángel Lorén, have thanked this contribution, which has been received by the technical team of the Shelter.

Running Zaragoza and Deportes Zenit have donated a total of 376 thermal and technical t-shirts for adults and children, 31 pairs of sports shoes and four sweatshirts. For the Minister of Economy, Innovation and Employment, Carmen Herrarte, donations of this type demonstrate the value and commitment that all Zaragoza businessmen have with the city. "Nobody has looked the other way in this pandemic and each company that is collaborating with the #LET'S GO WIN, does it with what it can, regardless of whether it is bigger or smaller", she has specified.

Since the solidarity program #VAMOSAGANAR was launched on March 23, 120 companies have registered to offer their services to the Zaragoza City Council through the page www.vamosaganarzaragoza.com. The initiative, coordinated by the Ministries of Economy, Innovation and Employment and Social Action and Family, has already managed to make donations from 82 companies effective. By areas, the records of companies that have made contributions on education have been eight, 26 in what has to do with health, 12 have been entertainment proposals, nine in technology, 19 in the food space and 46 are that have to do with other donation areas. All of them are analyzed and checked day by day and uploaded to the web so that all those interested can learn about each of the initiatives.

The Minister of Social Action and Family, Ángel Lorén, has valued the solidarity of all the companies that continue to join this initiative to protect the most vulnerable population. In the field of homeless people, together with Running Zaragoza and Deportes Zenit, there have been several Aragonese companies from various sectors that have wanted to help the Albergue, the Tenerías pavilion or El Refugio with the donation of clothing, food, soft drinks, gloves, sanitary material, mattresses, armchairs or Wi-Fi network.

Other donations have been directed to essential municipal services such as the Casa Amparo, the Shelter for battered women, the Home Help Service that the City Council provides through the companies Clece and Domusvi, to the agents of the Local Police or Firemen. The City Council has also channeled contributions to social entities in the city such as the Food Bank, Proyecto Hombre, soup kitchens of the Daughters of Charity, San Antonio and Parroquia del Carmen or the San Eugenio Foundation, as well as in some health centers and residences for the elderly. .
