This Thursday, the Tamaulipas Attorney General's Office (FGET) reported on the rescue of the baby who was kidnapped in a shopping center on August 3 in Reynosa, when her mother was the victim of a hoax.
According to the official statement from the institution, after carrying out the corresponding investigations, during this August 5 at 5:30 in the afternoon, the investigative police carried out an operation in the Jarachina Sur neighborhood to locate the minor of age, which was in good health and under the care of two people.
After the recovery of the infant, it was noted that she would be handed over to the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) of Reynosa, while the people who cared for her will be consigned to the corresponding authorities to determine her responsibilities.
However, it should be remembered that it was on August 3 when Elizabeth, the girl's mother, was attacked and her baby was taken from her.
Everything indicates that the woman went to a shopping center to receive diapers and clothes that another female with hers with the profile of "Peravel Gabby" promised to give her for free.
Faced with this promise, the baby's mother went to a plaza located in the Puerta Grande neighborhood, but when she met the woman who would help her, the latter told her that she would take her to a medical consultation.
Thus, the mother and the baby entered a truck , but moments later, the woman identified as Gaby Hernández wounded Elizabeth in the neck with a knife and took the girl who was only 12 days old.
Elizabeth threw herself from the vehicle and the authorities were notified shortly after the event through an emergency call.
After the activation of the Amber Alert, it was reported that the minor identified as “ NN Cruz Hernández” has short, straight, black hair. Her eyes are also the same color. In addition, she measures just 47 centimeters and weighs 2.5 kilograms. As a particular sign, she has a lot of hair on her back.
“On August 3, 2021, the girl “NN Cruz Hernández” was abducted by a woman of unknown identity in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, with no news of her whereabouts so far. It is considered that the integrity of the minor is at risk since she may be the victim of the commission of a crime , ”explains the alert.
Regarding the situation of her mother, the day the news was initially announced, it was pointed out that Elizabeth was transferred to a hospital for medical evaluation, however, she was quickly discharged.
She subsequently went to the authorities to report the incident and be able to locate her little daughter as soon as possible.
This type of case is more common than it seems, for example, in mid-February, personnel from the Attorney General's Office of the state of Hidalgo (PGJEH) rescued a newborn who had been abducted in the State of Mexico.
According to what was reported, the infant - who was two months old at the time - was taken from his mother by a relative who did not have custody of the minor. The child's mother was beaten at her home by her sentimental partner and consequently took the child.
