Romano Fenati fulfilled the forecasts and took pole position in Moto3 at Silverstone. Leader Acosta and second in the table, Sergio Garcia, will start at the back of the grid.

Niccolò Antonelli and Alberto Surra are back after their injuries. Izdihar is low, due to problems with his visa.

The sun had gained ground and everyone was grateful for it, with 18 degrees in the air and 25 on the asphalt. But the wind was cool.

The third free practice, dominated by Fenati, had caused the first two in the general classification, Acosta and García Dols, to be forced to go through the playoffs. With them were many Spaniards: Artigas, Guevara, Tatay and Adrián Fernández. Also other 'dangerous': Rodrigo, Salac or Toba.

Sergio did a 'warm-up' lap and returned to the box without setting the time.

Yamanaka took a slight crash at turn 8. He was able to pick up his bike and be back almost instantly.

Rodrigo set the tone. Sergio crashed in turn 3. He could take his GasGas and return to action, but he was forced. Acosta also suffered.

Toba and Kunii crashed at the same time in turn 16 and that caused Pedro to lose another turn.

The surprises were confirmed and the rivals for the title were classified far behind. They passed: Rodrigo, Tatay, Salac and Guevara. Adrián Fernández will start 19th; Pedro Acosta, 22nd and Sergio García, 24th. Artigas, 25º.

The Murcian took it with humor. "There are times when we've been worse. I lacked a reference. We started, more or less, both the same, the 'safety car' is very close. We have no choice but to enjoy. In four or five laps I'll be with the group", released on DAZN.

With Q2 the 'games' of cutting gas and waiting returned. There may be penalties. Several returned to their garage without setting a time, like Fenati, the favourite. Rodrigo, on the other hand, took advantage of the momentum and already broke the pole position record.

The Italian tried to mislead when leaving the 'pit lane', but not even for that: several grabbed the wheel: Binder, McPhee, Suzuki...

Fenati went to the pits and passed without stopping to get out of traffic. Rodrigo, first with Alcoba in front and then ahead of him, raised the bar even higher. Romano was angry with Fellon chasing him. He reproached him... and the Frenchman fell alone.

Sasaki also went to the ground, in turn 7. He was alone and he went ahead of him.

The controversial Husqvarna rider made room, but only had one lap to prove it. But that was enough for him. By 43 thousandths, but the pole was his.
