A female bodybuilder was prevented from boarding an American Airlines flight at DFW International Airport on Thursday because her clothing was deemed offensive.
Deniz Saypinar, a 26-year-old professional bodybuilder of Turkish origin, was on her way to Miami when airline personnel called her out on her outfit, which she deemed inappropriate.
After missing the flight, she posted her bad experience in detail on her Instagram account, where she has 1 million followers.
"I like to wear feminine clothes that reveal my femininity, but I never dress in a way that offends anyone," she wrote Saypinar.
“I am mature and civilized enough to know what I can and cannot wear.”

An airline spokesman confirmed the incident in a statement.
"As stated in the Conditions of Carriage, all customers must dress appropriately, and offensive clothing is not permitted on our flights," the spokesperson said.

According to the Daily Mail, Saypinar said the crew told her that the way she was dressed was disturbing to other families at the airport.
Saypinar posted a picture of her outfit — a sleeveless brown top, jean shorts, and a white jacket tied around her waist — which led to her being denied the flight.
"I don't deserve to be treated like the worst person in the world for wearing jean shorts," she said.
